Why is there an additional cost to redirect domains if other registers don't have additional charges?

This is the most frequently asked question and also a "little marketing trick" from the domain registrations company. Some domain registrations business promote their services saying: "careful with the small print from the other companies, register with us, url forwarding included, one year for $18". Did you see the trick?

How long will service take for everything to be functioning once I sing up for web forwarding?
